As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and thoroughly; I really listen. Together we navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and lifestyle advice to create your holistic health program: the step-by-step changes that will work for you.

I will be your advisor, your cheerleader, and your accountability coach.

Everyone is different and has different needs. It can be hard to know which steps to take to achieve your health goals. When to do what, how to sort through the myriad of conflicting and confusing advice out there. The steps for your neighbor, sister, teacher or cousin…  are not usually the same ones you need in order to achieve your unique life goals. Together, we explore concerns specific to you, your goals, your body’s unique needs, together we create a lifetime of balance.

What is a holistic health program?

The polar opposite of chasing and treating local symptoms, holistic health views the body-mind-spirit as an integrated whole. A symptom may show up in one place because of an imbalance in another.

For example, your digestive tract has large regions that lack the ability to communicate the sensation we call pain (among others). It can go along for years or decades slowly becoming quite unhealthy without communicating anything more than the occasional bloating or gas that we write off as a bad meal. Worse, when it does feel pain, it is often dull, poorly defined and very often GI pain is projected to distant areas of the body (“referred” pain). You may perceive back pain; it is your colon that is in trouble. Unfortunately, by this point there are many imbalances, other indicators (symptoms or concerning blood tests, etc.), that sum up to a need for the right steps taken for a long enough time to restore balance to those systems that have been slowly but surely becoming quite unhealthy.

A holistic health program looks across everything, the entire body-mind-spirit and identifies the exact steps to take, in the right sequence, that if continued long enough will restore balance—and through that, health.

I’ve studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering healthy eating and nutritional approaches that work best for you. We do not dwell on counting calories, fad diets, or lists with restrictions. I listen to you and develop your health program with great ideas, resources and researched-backed nutritional data. You succeed.

Yes, usually we need to balance our bodies first. Fatigue, weight issues, aches and pains, digestive trouble, moods, these often are the first thing we resolve. Then, with renewed vigor and energy, your health program will move beyond that.
